WordPress 3.5.1 Image Title Bug

I did not notice this, but sure enough – checking some of my recent posts shows that they are indeed missing title tags on the images.

Recently I was adding images to a new post in the current WordPress 3.5.1 and I noticed that the image title tag in the uploader gets stripped/removed after you click the “Insert into post” button.

  1. Hi Cher,

If you are using the Jetpack plugin, select “Plugins” from the Dashboard (Admin screen) and “Editor” under the Plugins menu.

At the top-right side of the Editor screen, next to “Select plugin to edit:” choose “Jetpack by WordPress.com” from the dropdown menu. Click the “Select” button to view the list of Jetpack files that you can edit.

Click the “jetpack/modules/subscriptions.php” file and use your browser’s search function to find the “Notify me of new posts by email.” text, that you can change to anything you want. Save your changes and you should be all set – at least until the next time you upgrade the Jetpack plugin :)

  2. Hey, “part time WordPress hack” I have a twenty ten web site and have the same wording as you do here under “post comment”.
Question…….Is there any EASY way to change the wording of “notify me of new posts by email”? I would like to change it to something like, “subscribe to this site”.
I’ve looked and looked and can’t figure out how to do it.
    Cheers, Cher,Auckland, New Zealand
